Qhemet Biologics Amla & Olive Heavy Cream | Product Review

During the winter months, I really like to use heavy, creamy products on my hair. This really helps me lock ensure the moisture I worked so hard to infuse into my hair has been locked and sealed in. One of my favorite products to use for this is Qhemet Biologics Amla & Olive Heavy Cream.  Want to know more about how I use the product?  Keep reading!

From the site:

This thick, rich formula leaves extra dry, coarse hair soft and supple for days!

Honey, let me tell you. Twisting my hair with the Amla & Olive Heavy Cream leaves my twists feeling so soft and juicy. This is truly an amazing product and definitely worth having if you have thick hair.

Amla & Olive Heavy Cream is:
100% Vegetarian
Free of mineral oil, lanolin, proteins, silicones, artificial fragrances, dyes, and parabens

Amla, Brahmi and African Aloe, premium Afro-Indian botanicals, MSM sulfur, Mediterranean Olive Oil, Vegetable Glycerin and pure African Castor Oil.
The cream comes in two different sizes, 8 oz. for $17.00 and 16 oz. for $32.00. You definitely don’t need a lot of product either. A little goes a long way so be sure to start off with a dime sized amount before applying and adjust to your own needs.

Evenly distribute a small to moderate amount through dry or slightly damp hair.
This product has many uses for your hair. From being used as daily moisturizing leave-in to helping to soothe your scalp, this truly is an all in one for both relaxed and natural hair. Qhemet claims that the cream isn’t just for use on your hair. You can also use it as a body butter.

My favorite way to use the product is on damp hair, right after applying my leave-in conditioner. I use it to help seal in the moisture before twisting my hair. When doing this, my hair stayed well moisturized for several days before I started to notice the slightest amount of dryness.
I did test this out on dry hair and it left my hair feeling soft and produced a nice sheen.

A common complaint with these products centers not around the actual product itself but instead, it’s availability. At any given time, a product could be sold out/out of stock on the website. But, when you look at the quality of the product, it’s understandable. This is where authorized retailers help alleviate that issue so make sure you check this list often (as it can and does change) to see if an approved retailer exists near you. Otherwise, I highly recommend to keep checking the website to learn when your product is available for purchase.

Love it 100%! Again, this is based on this product working well on my thick natural hair. If you have hair that is more fine, you might want to consider something lighter, such as their Burdock Root Butter Cream.
