Once a month, I write a report about my online earnings. I begin with talking about the things I believe may have had an impact on my income from the previous month. I then break down the sources of my income and talk about what I’ve learned. This also includes whether or not I met the goals I set for the previous month. I end with goals for the next month.
Let’s jump into this month’s report!
First, I want to apologize for the lateness in getting this update out. I totally underestimated just how much of my time would be consumed during the month of December (birthday parties, holidays, etc.)
December Income Report
Adsense (Blogs and YouTube) —– $52.30
Total Earnings —- $52.30
Hosting —- $ 8.99
Fotolia —- $ 25.00
PicMonkey —- $4.99
Total Expenses: $38.98
Total Earnings: $13.32
Well, at least this month I’m not in the red. That’s mainly to not making any one-time purchases like I did in November. However, I still didn’t post/upload any videos to YouTube (which like I said before, is my current “money maker”). I simply relied on the current videos to bring in money.
As with the previous month, my current content on my YouTube channel still brings in subscribers. I gained 100 new subscribers but lost 28 subscribers. I ended up with a net gain of 72 subscribers.
I’m happy that even though I wasn’t active on my channel, I gained 89 new subscribers. On the flip side, I did lose 23 subscribers which resulted in a net gain of 66 subscribers. Seeing how close I am to breaking even, I definitely need to step up both my video production/uploading as well as the promotion of my videos.
December Traffic Report
I’m not sure how accurate the information from Google Analytics is but, I’m not showing any data for the site during the month of December. I did have some issues with a Google Analytics plugin that I was using (that I finally gave up on and went back to old faithful around mid February).
December Social Media Stats
YouTube Subscribers: 4,763*
Facebook: 103 Likes*
* All of these numbers are as of February 11, 2015. I don’t have a tool to track growth and other analytics at the moment. Currently relying on simply checking my profile. Going forward, I’m going to try to check the profile on the first day of the month (in order to gauge where I was the previous month) until I decide whether nor not an actual tracking resource is needed (and worth the extra expense).
Did I Meet My November Goals?
Pageviews on Just-Jenelle:
I’m not surprised. I did little to no work in promotion and actively working on these goals. So, I’m going to keep these goals the same for the month of January (or until I meet them).
Pageviews on Just-Jenelle: 1000
YouTube subscribers: 5,000
Facebook Likes: 500
It’s a little slow going, figuring out how much time these things take but, I’m not giving up!
